Project Details:

The basement walls were designed using a mixture of concrete piles and Dincel retaining walls to best suit the boundary and tree protection limitations. A conventional suspended concrete slab was designed with the use of band beams to help span between large openings and support points.

Behind the dwelling, a 25m concrete lap pool enclosed inside a pool house was designed, where the concrete pool formed part of the pool house footing system. Due to the lack of internal walls within the pool house, a series of portal frames were designed to sufficiently brace the structure.

For the civil design, a careful pump design was required to connect into the irrigation system for best water practices and re-use.
